QUESTION: I'VE NEVER HEARD OF YOU! HOW WELL DO THESE ARRANGEMENTS REALLY WORK?
My middle school choral groups as well as my string ensembles have performed my copyrighted arrangements in Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) adjudicated events (affiliated with NAfME - formerly MENC) . We can do this because in middle school OMEA does not require that we choose exclusively from the Required List provided that the selections we choose are of comparable quality to the Required List.
AND THE RESULTS?
Performing as a Vocal Chamber Ensemble (up to 24 voices) and using my arrangements, adjudicators have given my students a rating of outstanding* in each of the past five years in OMEA District XII adjudicated events.
* 1 on a scale of 1-5; sometimes referred to as "superior"
My desire is that your students will perform these arrangements beautifully and musically, increasing their pleasure and skill in singing or playing a bowed string instrument.

KIDZ KANTATAZ
I have written ten children's cantatas - Kidz Kantataz - for my elementary students. There are five themed for the Christmas season, and five more for General Use. In my school we have used each of them multiple times for grades Pre-K through 6th; these arrangements require the 5th and 6th graders to sing in at least two parts. (Some of those 5th and 6th grade scores might appear in the Middle School Choral section as stand-alone pieces.)
If you choose not to sing the 5th and 6th grade songs in parts because your groups are too small -- or too young -- to do so effectively, just use the soprano parts from the scores. If the soprano is a little high, the simplest solution is to use a digital piano that has a transpose feature, and play the accompaniments down a couple of steps. But if you are relying on my published accompaniment tracks, you'll just have to teach the children how to sing in head voice!
